My Fellow Citizens,
It is with a heavy heart that I address you today. I am so deeply sorry for an immense loss for our nation. All human souls who touched the lives of many were of distinguished intent and merit of accolades .May they find strength and solace in the memories of the loved ones that they shared together. The news of the Air India Flight 171 crash in Ahmedabad has cast a long shadow of grief over our nation and the world. The tragic loss of life, with approximately 294 confirmed fatalities, including passengers, crew, and individuals on the ground, is a profound sorrow that we all share. The flight, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, was en route to London Gatwick Airport when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. The aircraft, carrying 242 people, including 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese nationals, and 1 Canadian national, plummeted into a residential area, causing immense devastation. The crash site, near a medical school hostel, has become a scene of intense rescue and recovery efforts.
The cause of this devastating incident is currently under investigation. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated a formal investigation, and a team from Boeing is expected to assist. The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is also going to send a team to aid in the investigation. The investigation will follow international protocols, and the country where the incident took place will lead the investigation, along with officials, the maker of the aircraft and its engines, and others. It is crucial that we allow the investigators to conduct their work thoroughly and without speculation, so that we can understand the factors that led to this tragedy and prevent similar incidents in the future.
In this time of immense sorrow, our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those who perished. The government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is providing all possible assistance to the affected families.Rescue operations are ongoing, and medical teams are working tirelessly to provide care for the injured. The sole survivor, a British national of Indian origin, is receiving medical treatment, and we pray for his full recovery. The Tata Group, the owner of Air India, has pledged financial support to the families of the victims and is also providing support in rebuilding the BJ Medical College hostel that was impacted by the crash. The international community has also expressed its condolences and offered support, including leaders from the U.S., Russia, the U.K., Canada, and many other nations.”Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this incredibly difficult time. We mourn the loss of life and extend our unwavering support to those who have been injured and are recovering.”
“Death, loss, and grief are universal human experiences, reminding us of life’s vulnerability. This awareness can be both “scary and humbling,” yet also offers “real freedom” if embraced. All must encourage focusing on love, forgiveness, and the things that truly matter in life .The fragility of life is also a recurring theme with life as a “rollercoaster of emotions,” especially when instability is compounded by global unrest. However “Everything Unfolds with Divine Reasoning” and that we are meant to help one another. “Life Is Fragile,” and that we “Control Nothing About Our Lives,” but that only “Resilience Emerges From This Fragility. Resilience in life isn’t about how much you can handle before you break, it’s about how much you can handle after you break.Bodies age and die, and that good feelings fade, emphasizing the need to embrace fragility to protect and nurture the things that matter. We all must stand united by our shared humanity and that we are meant to help one another. One must extend kindness and compassion, and helping others live a better life, because nothing in this world is eternal. In the face of life’s inherent fragility, the cultivation of unity, compassion, and respect for others is essential. These qualities provide solace, strength, and meaning, transforming our experiences and connecting us in profound ways..”
Sincerely,
Mayaa
