1. Rashmi, your entrepreneurial journey spans across fashtech, beauty tech, AI, and the Metaverse. What inspired you to venture into these diverse yet interconnected domains, and how do you see these industries evolving in the next five years?
My entrepreneurial journey has always been driven by the desire to merge creativity with technology to solve real-world problems. Fashion and beauty are industries deeply rooted in personalization and self-expression, and technology like AI and the Metaverse allows us to enhance these experiences in ways previously unimaginable. What inspired me was the opportunity to redefine how people interact with these industries—whether it’s creating hyper-personalized shopping experiences, leveraging AI for sustainable production, or building immersive Metaverse platforms where customers can explore and engage.
Over the next five years, I see fashtech and beauty tech becoming increasingly integrated with AI, IoT, and blockchain. Virtual fashion, augmented reality (AR) shopping experiences, and sustainable practices powered by AI are no longer futuristic concepts—they are becoming mainstream. The Metaverse will serve as a convergence point for fashion and beauty brands to engage with customers in deeply immersive and personalized ways.
2. As a woman in tech and a self-proclaimed enthusiast for AI and the Metaverse, how do you intend to integrate cutting-edge technologies like AI and Web3 into your businesses? Can you share an example of an innovative solution you’ve implemented?
AI and Web3 are soon becoming heart of business operations. At DigiCloset we are developing AI to analyze customer preferences and offer personalized outfit recommendations Meanwhile, at BeautyAI we are working on leveraging AI and AR to provide virtual beauty solutions
In Ecloset Styleverse, we are creating a truly innovative solution by integrating Web3 principles with digital fashion.
3. You actively mentor women in fashtech and promote fashion education in association with AMHSSC. What challenges do you see women facing in the tech industry today, and what strategies do you advocate to overcome these barriers?
Women in tech often face challenges such as gender bias, lack of mentorship opportunities, and inadequate representation in leadership roles. Many talented women also struggle with access to networking platforms and resources that can help them advance their careers.
To address these barriers, I strongly advocate for initiatives that promote mentorship and skill development tailored specifically for women. Collaboration with organizations like AMHSSC ( under Skill India) allows me to empower women with tech-specific training and career readiness programs. I also emphasize creating inclusive workplaces that celebrate diversity and implementing policies that enable work-life balance. Most importantly, representation matters—women need to see more role models in leadership positions to believe that they too can excel.
4. You’re a strong advocate for being “Vocal for Local” and are deeply invested in socially responsible entrepreneurship. How do you balance profitability with social impact in your ventures, and what role does local empowerment play in your business strategy?
Balancing profitability with social impact starts with embedding purpose into the core of your business. At DigiCloset, for instance, we intend to collaborate with local manufacturers to integrate their collections on our platform , offering them a global outreach while preserving traditional techniques.
Local empowerment is a cornerstone of our strategy because it aligns profitability with community development. We actively invest in skill-building programs for underprivileged communities and create employment opportunities that allow them to participate in the tech-driven economy. When your business is built around uplifting local communities, profitability naturally follows as customers resonate with your mission and values.
5. The intersection of fashion, beauty, and technology is reshaping consumer experiences. What trends do you foresee in fashtech and beauty tech, and how is Styleverse positioned to capitalize on the Metaverse’s potential in these industries?
The future of fashtech and beauty tech lies in hyper-personalization, sustainability, and immersive digital experiences. Trends like digital fashion, AR try-ons, AI-driven personalization, and blockchain for authenticity are gaining traction. Consumers are increasingly seeking products and experiences that reflect their individuality while being eco-conscious.
Styleverse is positioned to capitalize on these trends by combining the power of the Metaverse with our expertise in fashion and beauty. In Styleverse, users can step into a virtual world where they can try on digital garments, consult with AI-powered stylists, and even attend virtual fashion shows—all from the comfort of their homes. By harnessing the Metaverse, we aim to redefine how consumers engage with fashion and beauty, creating a seamless blend of creativity, technology, and sustainability.
