These sectors could potentially create over 100 million new jobs by 2030. But are we ready? The Economic Survey 2024-25 paints a picture of declining unemployment in India, but also highlights some concerns related to unemployability and the quality of jobs. As we look towards 2030, India faces a complex and evolving employment landscape. Despite significant strides in economic growth and development, the issue of unemployability remains a critical challenge. The 2019 report from UNICEF indicates that at least 47% of Indian youth will not possess the education and skills necessary for employment by 2030.
