1. What motivated you to pen “The Fire of Purpose,” and how did your life experiences influence the book’s plot?

You know those moments when a lightbulb just goes off in your brain? Like you’re suddenly the main character in a movie and everything finally makes sense? Yeah, I had one of those epiphany moments during one of my sessions, and it was a total game-changer. I realized that my story, with all its twists and turns, actually has the power to make a difference. Like, how cool is that? So, with this newfound wisdom and a burning desire to raise awareness about mental health and childhood trauma, I decided to write “The Fire of Purpose.” It’s not just a book—it’s a movement. I wanted to create something that speaks to people, that helps them understand they’re not alone in their struggles. I mean, let’s be real, everyone has their own battles, but sometimes it takes a little nudge to realize that it’s okay to not be okay. Writing “The Fire of Purpose” was like pouring my heart out on paper and setting it ablaze with passion. I wanted every word to resonate, to spark conversations, and to inspire change. If even one person reads it and feels a little less alone or a little more understood, then I’ve done my job. Because at the end of the day, isn’t that what storytelling is all about? Connecting, healing, and lighting up the world in our own unique way.

2. You talk about the relationship between chronic physical illnesses and trauma in the book. Could you describe in more detail how this viewpoint has been influenced by your professional and personal experiences?

As a life coach, I’ve come to realize that our mental health and physical health , they go hand-in-hand! Sometimes, it starts with just a little stress or anxiety, which can snowball into bigger issues if left unchecked. Before you know it, you’re feeling the physical toll, and it feels like your body is waving a giant red flag that says,”Hey, pay attention to me!” I totally get it because I’ve been there myself. Back in the day, when mental health wasn’t as openly talked about, I struggled with my own issues. It wasn’t until my physical health started to deteriorate that I realized something had to change. But the universe has a funny way of guiding us, and I was lucky enough to cross paths with an amazing therapist a few years ago. Since then, it’s been a journey of healing both mentally and physically. I’ve found my purpose, and it’s added so much joy and meaning to my life! So, if you’re feeling off, don’t ignore it. Reach out for help—mental health professionals are there for a reason, and trust me, the right support can make all the difference. Let’s break the stigma and keep those vibes high!

3. It is incredibly motivating to hear about your path from overcoming childhood trauma to becoming a life coach and psychotherapist. What significant events or junctures marked your journey toward recovery and self-discovery?

The turning point in my life came like a plot twist in an unsuspecting rom-com. Picture this: I was navigating the chaotic maze of life, bumping into emotional walls and tripping over invisible hurdles. Then, one day, it hit me—bam! I needed a therapist. and this is where things get interesting. The wonderful therapist who would become my guiding light. She was like a life coach, fairy godmother, and best friend all rolled into one. Her office was a sanctuary where I could unload my worries, fears, and dreams like it was the latest episode of a reality TV show. She had this magical ability to listen—really listen—and her advice was like the secret sauce that made everything better. She helped me heal old wounds, grow into my true self, and evolve in ways I never thought possible. But wait, there’s more! I’ve chronicled this incredible journey in my book, where you can dive deeper into the highs, lows, and everything in between. It’s a rollercoaster ride of self-discovery, sprinkled with humor and heartfelt moments. So, grab a copy, buckle up, and get ready to join me on this wild adventure of transformation. Trust me, it’s a story you won’t want to miss!

4. “The Fire of Purpose” highlights how critical it is to communicate about mental health concerns and get treatment. What effect do you think this message will have on readers in particular, the ones who could be suffering in quiet?

Isn’t it amazing how stories have this magical power to connect people and spark real change? I’ve been on this wild ride of sharing my own story, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the adventure. You know, there’s something incredibly powerful about putting your journey out there for the world to see. It’s like shouting from the rooftops,

“Hey, I’m human, and I’ve been through stuff, too!”

When it comes to mental health, I truly believe that sharing our experiences can be a total game-changer. By opening up and being real about our struggles and triumphs, we’re not just helping ourselves but also raising awareness and breaking down those pesky stigmas. It’s like a ripple effect—one person’s story can inspire another, and before you know it, there’s this incredible wave of understanding and support flowing through our communities. And guess what? Taking charge of your life and voicing out your feelings isn’t just brave; it’s downright empowering. It’s about saying, “I matter, my story matters, and I’m here to live my best life. ”So, here’s to all the storytellers out there—sharing your journey is a beautiful act of courage and kindness. Keep shining your light and inspiring others to do the same.

5. As a psychotherapist and life coach, what are some essential techniques or approaches you suggest to people starting their path to emotional recovery and trauma healing?

Absolutely, let’s dive in with a splash of fun and a pinch of playfulness!

First up, let’s talk about mindfulness, because who doesn’t love a good mind vacation?

Mindfulness is like giving your brain a spa day. It’s about being in the moment, noticing your thoughts without judgment. Apps like Headspace or Calm can be your BFFs here, guiding you through meditation and helping you stay present.

Next on our list is journaling. Think of it as your personal detective tool, helping you solve the mystery of your emotions!  Write down your thoughts, your dreams, even that weird thing your cat did today. It’s all about getting those feelings out of your head and onto paper. Plus, it’s a great excuse to buy a super cute notebook!

And let’s not forget the power of self-compassion. Imagine talking to yourself like you would to your best friend – with kindness and understanding. When you stumble, remind yourself it’s okay. Everyone trips from time to time. Maybe even give yourself a high-five in the mirror – it sounds silly, but it works!

Lastly, connect with others. Whether it’s a trusted friend, a support group, or even a therapist (hey, that’s me!), sharing your journey can lighten the load. Remember, healing is not a solo mission – it’s a team effort! So, go forth and conquer, one mindful moment at a time. You’ve got this!  And of course don’t forget to read my book! 6. The transformational potential of emotional health and resilience is highlighted in your book. If someone was just beginning to face their anxieties and traumas from the past, what guidance would you give them?

Hey there! First off, big kudos to you for taking the first step in confronting your past traumas and fears. That’s no small feat, and you should definitely give yourself a high-five for that!

Alright, let’s dive into some advice that might help you on this journey. Think of this process like leveling up in a video game. You’re going to face some tough bosses (a.k.a. your fears and traumas), but with each encounter, you get stronger and more resilient. One key thing to remember is that it’s okay to take baby steps. You don’t need to conquer everything all at once. Take it one level at a time, and celebrate the small victories along the way. Got through a tough memory without breaking down? That’s a win! Next, find your tribe—people who get you and can offer support. This could be friends, family, or even a support group. Having someone to talk to can make a world of difference. And hey, don’t forget to be kind to yourself. Self-care isn’t just bubble baths

and Netflix binges (though those are great); it’s also about setting boundaries and giving yourself permission to feel whatever you need to feel. Lastly, keep your eye on the prize: emotional well-being. It’s like the ultimate treasure chest at the end of this quest. It might take time, and there will probably be some plot twists, but trust me, it’s worth it. So gear up, stay awesome, and remember you’ve got this!
