From the vibrant stages of Mumbai’s open mics to the quiet corners of her spiritual practice, Meha’s journey is a story in itself. Her voice has echoed through The Habitat, Poets of Mumbai, and Mumbai Lit Fest — not merely reciting poetry, but offering a piece of her essence.
Behind the scenes, she’s directed narratives that shaped millions of hearts—working on shows like The Voice India, Dance India Dance, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Bigg Boss and Hustle. Her storytelling isn’t just art — it’s instinct, passion, and presence.
Off-camera, her love for nature, animals, and travel gives depth to her spirit. Whether she’s exploring the streets of Europe or the forests of India, she listens to the untold stories of the world.
Rooted in Sanatan Dharma since 2014, guided by her Gurus, her spiritual path enriches every word she writes and every frame she creates.
This book is not her debut—it’s her awakening.
Why Poetry?
“Because life has rhythm. And poetry reminds us of it.”
Meha sees poetry not as performance, but as presence. “In the hustle of modern living,” she says, “we lose connection with the real rhythm and flow of life. Poetry brings that back. It doesn’t rush. It just… exists.”
She describes it as a channel of universal energy, a space where emotions flow without needing to prove or please. “It’s not something you can Google,” she smiles. “It has to come to you, organically.”
What Inspires Her?
“Mother Nature,” Meha says without hesitation. “She’s my biggest teacher—graceful, generous, rooted, and endlessly giving. There’s always a rhythm in her chaos. And in that, I find my calm.”
Her poetry draws heavily from observation. She calls herself a witness of the seen and unseen, and her verses reflect a rare patience—to absorb, to wait, and to translate experience into emotion.
On Meaning, Metaphors, and the Magic of Less
Trained by her career to communicate with vast audiences, Meha has mastered the art of leaving space for interpretation. “I don’t want to tell the reader what to feel. I want to show just enough, so they can find their own meaning.”
Her preferred language is simple, yet lyrical. With a deep love for Hindi, Urdu, and Sanskrit—thanks to her book-loving family—her writing balances minimalism with old-world charm. “I use flowery words like spikes,” she says, “just enough to keep things interesting.”
Crafting with Discipline, Not Just Inspiration
Contrary to the romantic image of poets waiting on muse and mood, Meha’s creative process is rigorously disciplined. Despite a demanding 10-12 hour workday in the entertainment industry, she writes twice a day, every day—even if it’s just for ten minutes.
“I tell the universe—I’m here. Send me your downloads. And I show up. Same time. Every day.”
The Book: Zindagi – Ek Ishq Ya Khyaal Koi!
In a world that updates faster than emotions can process, Meha’s words pause time. Her book is a collection of intimate reflections written over the years, categorized into three soulful segments:
The book Is divided into three parts, Zindagi this section contains observations on life as a journey. Ishq this section is dedicated to the matters of heart and heartaches coz no life is ever complete without the ecstasy of love and pain! Khyal the last section of the book are a collection of powerful thoughts, some written in the form of satire and some are just a free flight of the mind
“It’s a poetic longing,” Meha says, “a way to explore questions that don’t always need answers.”
